It is always recommended to wash hands properly after nursing or serving foods for the whooping cough patients. The serving utensil for whooping cough patients should be kept apart and sterilized at regular basis before each use because there is chance of contamination from these items.
It is always recommended to have plenty of liquids, for example, intake of juice, soups, and fruits, to avert the possibility of dehydration. As there is irritation in respiratory system, patients of whooping cough suffer from a tendency to vomit, it is wise to eat small meals instead of larger meals at a time.
