Types of Pain
Depending on the sources of pain, the treatment of pain differs from one to other type. Depending on the sources pain can be divided into two groups like neuropathic pain, and nociceptive pain.If the body system is not working properly here may be some kind of fake signal in the central nervous system sending wrong notion that there is certain injury in the body and the body tends to feel its sharpness although there is no such injury in body.
Here the problem is with the nerve and understandability of the nerve impulses. While treating naturopathic pain, doctors put pressure not on the symptom only, but also on the history of the pain.
When the nervous system of the body is working properly and there is a source of pain due n abrasion or cut or due to a broken leg or other injury, the event is conveyed to brain by the nerves and readily the brain can understand the situation and accordingly the person who has attracted the injury becomes aware of the presence of the injury.
Most of the leg, arm, and back pains are of nonciceptive pain type which for convenience can again be divided into two categories like radicular pain and somatic pain.
Radicular pain generates from nerve roots and the main cause behind the occurrence of pain is irritation in nerve roots for example a herniated disc causes a radicular pain.
The pain goes downward in the distribution point of the never that comes out fro the nerve root located at/within spinal cord. Radiculopathy is closely associated with radicular pain which is weakness, lack of sensation, loss of reflex, or major way tingling in the distribution point of the nerve.
The pain in back portion and on the thigh portion of body is the prevalent example of somatic pain. The main problem with somatic type of pain is to generate the cause for the occurrence of the pain which may determine the type of treatment.
As the pain stays for a little period, conducting all kinds of treatment related diagnostic tastes cannot be done and that is the point doctor has to prescribe some fruitful pain reliever for the entit pain management process.
X-ray guided injections [fluoroscopically] may get success to determine the source of the pain. If the source and reason can be found without any confusion, the treatment of pain becomes easy and flawless.
