Treating Peptic Ulcers Naturally

Peptic ulcer is a disorder of the digestive tract, and it can form in the intestinal tract or the duodenum. It is associated by very sharp abdominal pain, indigestion, nausea, weakness and tiredness.

It mainly occurs due to eating rich and spicy food, taking alcohol, stress, tension, food poisoning, irregular sleep and excessive increase of hyperacidity in the stomach.

However, peptic ulcer can be treated with some natural remedies that will ensure a safe and steady improvement of the disorder.

Fenugreek seeds
are used in a variety of treatments, and it is also very useful for peptic ulcers. Tea made of fenugreek seeds help in healing the eroded lesion of the intestine and provide protection to the ulcers.

Milk is proved to be very effective in giving relief from ulcers. Drinking milk at least two to three times every day will help soothe the inflammation and burning feeling in the stomach. This may prove even more beneficial if raw goat milk is taken daily. Some drops of castor oil can also be added to milk and taken.

Wood apple leaves have to be soaked for the whole night in water, and then the solution has to be strained and drank several times a day. The leaves of wood apple will give respite from the pain and will help reduce the swelling of the ulcers.

Banana should be taken with a glass of milk every day, as it helps to minimize the hyperacidity and aids in calming the stomach.

Vegetable juices made from cabbage and carrot boiled with water should be taken together. Carrot can also be combined with other vegetable juices like that of beet and spinach to give best results. Such juices have to be taken habitually daily till the ulcers heal.

Diet also plays a very important role in peptic ulcer treatment. Foods rich in fiber will help in digestion, lots of fresh vegetables, legumes, citrus fruits, milk, whole grains and butter should be included in the daily menu. Spicy food, alcohol, products rich in caffeine, and smoking should be strictly avoided.

A person suffering from peptic ulcer should not take any stress or tension. Regular breathing exercises and a healthy lifestyle will help to cure the disorder fast.
