Tips for Keeping Healthy Heart

Heart is one of the major organs in our body, therefore healthy life cannot be enjoyed unless we take care of heart and maintain a healthy heart. However, it is not tough to take care of heart; a few heart friendly resolutions can take care of heart health perfectly.

Diet plays a significant role in maintaining healthy heart. It is always advisable to include lots of natural fiber in diet along with little amount of good quality of fats. Reliable sources of natural fiber are vegetables, whole grain, fresh fruits, nuts, and legumes etc. For good quality fat, the sources are different; for example, salmon, trout, and sardines are loaded with omega-3-fatty-acid. Vegetable oils like canola, soy, olive, and safflower are often recommended for consumption of good quality fats.

Prevention from cholesterol and high blood pressure is the other ways we should take in order to maintain a healthy heart. Consumption of lean meat, low-fat-dairy-products, and antioxidant packed foods should be consumed everyday for all of us. Those who have family history of high blood pressure should be double conscious of heart health; reduced level of common salt is great way to pamper our heart.

Obesity is one of greatest enemies for healthy heart; those who are overweight should do regular exercise in order to reduce the extra fat in body. Regular practice on aerobics, yoga, Tai chi, and home gym helps to keep figure in control and promotes healthy performing heart.

Drinking one or two pages of alcohol per day is good for heart as it reduces the tendency of blood clotting; however, boozing should never be accompanied with smoking. However, the chain smokers should start quit-smoking program in order to protect their hearts from further damage at their earliest.

Negative emotions like anger, hatred, and jealousy are like green eyed monsters and often prove threatening for heart health. It is always recommended to control these adverse emotions for the sake good quality life.

Regular exercise, meditation, practice of yoga, and cardio exercise are the essential physical activities which keep heart healthy and smooth functioning. As meditation reduces stress and depression, it reduces stress from heart as well and keeps mind happy which is another way for healthy heart living.
