The Symptoms of Gonorrhea

Gonorrhea is on of the most prehistoric sexual diseases, discovered by Dr. Hypocrate in 400 BC and then it was identified as Strangury. Dr. Gallan renamed it as Gonorrhea in 200 BC and from then it is known in this name.

It is such kind of disease which mostly comes from the males and by the means of that females are affected frequently. Now let start the discussion about the symptoms of Gonorrhea.

The symptoms of Gonorrhea fall under three categories and those are Local, Pelvic and Metastatic. The Local symptoms are infection in Urethra which is known as Urethritis, massive infection in skin, known as Skenitis, contagion in Bartholin gland by bacteria, identified as Bartholinitis, bacterial infection in Uterus, recognized as Cervicitis, anal sphincter infection, called Proctitis. These are all the local symptoms of Gonorrhea however not so much important indication as these may not occur in many cases.

Now the next one is Pelvic infection, means the infection which is occurred in the Pelvic area. In this case the gram negative bacterium named Neisseria Gonnorrhea plays the role. It is one kind of Diplococcous bacteria which has the kidney shape and its incubation period is three to seven days.

In this case the symptoms are called as Salpingitis, Pyosalpinx, Hydrosalpinx etc. in this case the retroversion of uterus may be occurred as the uterus changes its position. Therefore it can be said if there is any kind of symptom is found in the Pelvic area, then there is massive chance of the Gonorrhea.

The final and most major symptom is Metastatic. When the infection gets spread out in other places, means extreme widespread of infection through out the body is occurred, then it is called Metastatic Symptoms. As a result of this kind of symptom, the infection may get some dangerous situations like Perihepatitis, Septicaemia, etc.

If the infection spreads out into the liver, then it is called Perihepatitis. Another symptom is Gnococcal  Arthritis and it always occurs before this disease. Nevertheless, the normal symptoms of Gonorrhea are pain during passing of urine, frequently passing of urine, pain in uterus or in pelvic, the size of urine whole reduction, pain during sex, pain in abdomen etc.
