The Negative Effects Of Caffeine On Human Health

Caffeine is a substance often found in tea, coffee, chocolate, soft drinks, nuts, and certain types of medicines. It has various effects on body metabolism including stimulation of central nervous system, which is the reason we enjoy increased alertness after consumption of tea and coffee.

However, with many good effects of caffeine, it has multiple negative effects on human body. Some of the negative effects are mentioned here with outline effects.

Moderate to excessive consumption of caffeine stimulates pulse rates, raises blood pressure, and contributes actively in development of heart disease. Caffeine is also responsible for development of coronary vasospasm, which in 20% cases is a major triggering reason for heart attacks and is considered as fatal for normal so-called healthy people.  Those who take caffeine based drinks often suffer from swinging tendency of blood sugar level.

Caffeine consumption elevates stress level of an individual thus causes improved secretion of anxiety, irritability, insomnia, reduced immunity, muscular pain and tension etc. which promotes emotional disturbances in the lives of the people who take more tea or coffee or cola types of drinks as their regular habit.

Those who take caffeine related foods and drinks often suffer from gastrointestinal disorders. It has found in several cases that those who take caffeine in their daily diet are more susceptible to nutritional deficiencies because caffeine creates hindrance in proper absorption of essential vitamins and minerals for development of brains and body.

Caffeine is a great factor for development of aging signs to skin as it promotes fine line wrinkle and dark spots in under-eye-zone. Another negative effect of caffeine is that it deteriorates the general health of kidney and skin tone.

Excessive caffeine consumption has various adverse side effects like the problem of decreased bone density, increased chance of urinary tract infection, enlarged prostrate glands etc.

Moreover in case of acid indigestion, anxiety and panic attacks, yeast infection, colitis and diarrhea, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes, gout, heart palpitations, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, insomnia, gallbladder problem and in other allied liver diseases, kidney problem, kidney stone and other problems, osteoporosis, migraines etc the intake of caffeine need to be restricted or strictly prohibited for the sake of better health and better lives.
