Tea Tree Oil can Reduce Pimples

Tea tree oil also called melaleuca oil is an essential oil that is obtained from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a tree that is native to Australia. The essential oil is extremely beneficial for the treating of the infectious organisms like the fungi, bacteria as well as virus.

This oil is popular all over the globe for its ability to fight off various infections that are even resistant to some antibiotics. Tea tree oil is known to be an excellent natural remedy for varied respiratory problems that range from sore throat, runny nose and coughs to critical ailments like bronchitis, asthma and tuberculosis.

However the essential oil should be diluted before the treating of the pimples as undiluted oil can cause irritation, redness, itching, over drying and blistering on to the skin directly. This oil is extremely effective in the fighting of the pimples.

Recent studies have concluded that by mixing 5 percent of tea tree oil with 5 percent of benzoyl peroxide helps to effectively treat mild to moderate pimples as this oil acts as solvent and helps to stop the oily matter from congesting up the sebaceous glands and developing and forming pimples.

Therefore, it is evident that tea tree oil is beneficial for skin.
