Symptoms of allergy

Allergy is ultra- sensitivity of body against some specific elements; for example, some people may suffer from food allergy on some particular food items; some people may suffer from pollen allergy, and some people may feel sensitivity against certain cosmetics etc. However, it is tough to detect the allergic trigger at first attempt.

Therefore, learning about the symptoms of allergy is beneficial as these symptoms are the best tools to evaluate the allergic reaction of body against a particular element.
Depending on the intensity, allergy symptoms can be segregated into three types, i.e. mild, moderate, and severe.
Mild allergy symptoms take place due to mild allergic reaction of body. Mild allergy symptoms may include the problem of itchy body rash, itchy and watery red eyes, mild to moderate congestion at chest.
Mild allergic reaction keeps centered in a particular portion of body and generally does not spread further. The rash may look severe, but these are not infectious at all.

Moderate allergy symptoms display some allergic reactions with moderate intensity. The main symptoms are itchiness and difficulty in breathing because allergic irruptions come up on the inner lining of the respiratory track also.
Red eyes, running nose, sore throat, headache, mild diarrhea, and mild to moderate problem of nausea and vomiting are the allergy symptoms of allergy attack of moderate intensity.

The most severe types of allergy symptoms involve fatal risk; therefore, severe allergic irruptions should be treated with utmost medical emergency. Severe allergy symptoms may start with sudden itching of the face and eyes and the said allergy symptoms spread with rapid progression. Severe allergy infection is termed as anaphylaxis. If any of the symptoms of anaphylaxis is observed, the victim should be transferred to hospital at emergency basis.

One of the major symptoms of anaphylaxis is shock and this shock may turn fatal. Due to this shock the organs of the body ceased to receive adequate blood supply because of suddenly induced low blood pressure level. The person in allergic shock may turn red, dry or sweaty, confused or anxious, and in some cases may fall unconscious also.

Breathing problem and feeling of excessive suffocation is one of the prime symptoms of anaphylaxis. Sometimes the victim shows noisy breathing symptom.
Other symptoms faced by anaphylaxis victims may include itchy, red, swollen skin, sudden tightness in lungs, swelling of face and tremendous headache, stuffy or runny nose, itchy and swollen red eyes, and moderate to severe stomach pain etc.
All these symptoms may or may not appear together and intensity of the symptoms varies from one person to another depending on the intensity of allergic action and severity of the allergy trigger.
