Stomach ulcer symptoms

Stomach ulcer is induced by a bacterium called Helicobacter Pylori. Wrong life style, regular consumption of too hot, processed, and junk foods, and indiscriminate use of anti-inflammatory medicines are considered major triggers for stomach ulcer although there are lot more related reasons behind formation of stomach ulcer.

Needless to mention that stomach ulcer is a painful disorder of digestive system. The most complicated part of stomach ulcer is that the initial symptoms for stomach ulcer are quite non- specific type and cannot be easily recognized as symptoms of some serious hidden disorder of digestive system. Therefore it is important to know the initial as well as the advanced symptoms of stomach ulcer so that this painful disease can be easily recognized and completely cured by treatment in its first occurrence.

The most common but obvious symptom of stomach ulcer is chronic pain in digestive system. The pain is mainly dull type and has recurring effect. The pain against stomach ulcer is short timed and has a coming and going tendency.

A typical trait of stomach ulcer pain is whenever the patients have his/her food; the pain gets subsided for quite some times and then recurs again may be after 2-3 hours of the meal.

Another obvious type of stomach ulcer pain is that the pain never bothers the patient immediately after meal but it recurs with its severe intensity at the middle or toward the end of night at regular basis. The prompt antidote for this dull abdominal pain is taking an antacid type of medicine.

There are some optional symptoms of stomach ulcer problem. These symptoms may vary from one patient to another and in some cases may not be present in acute condition. Loss of appetite, bloating, unconditional nausea and vomiting are the associated symptoms for stomach ulcer.

If any of these non-specific symptoms remain present with recurring abdominal pain the patient should consult a doctor for further suggestion and treatment.

In case, the initial stage of stomach ulcer remains asymptomatic, the advanced stage of this issue displays some acute and recognizable symptoms. These symptoms should be treated as urgent alarming signals and it is wise to consult doctor at emergency basis to avail the treatment.

The patient of stomach ulcer problem generally experience sharp and stinging pain and the pain retains despite of initial medication.

The patient may have fresh or dark brown colored blood with vomiting. The stool color of the suffering patient becomes black or dark brown or may contain blood in it.
