Natural Treatment Remedies for Scurvy

Scurvy is a gum disease caused by acute vitamin C deficiency in body, characterized by loose teeth, darkened and bleeding gums, and foul odor in mouth.

It is always recommended to consult the dentist in case someone faces dental problem and bleeding gum issue. Scurvy is completely curable by medicine; however, a few natural remedies beside medicine can promote faster recovery.

External supply of vitamin C is the best natural treatment for scurvy. Add half sliced lemon extract and 2 teaspoon of honey and add both these ingredients into one glassful lukewarm water. Scurvy patients will feel better result if this infusion can be taken at least two times per day.

Make a decoction of boiled water and handful jaundice berry leaves and put the decoction on low heat; let it boil until it is reduced of its initial volume. The scurvy patients should have this decoction at least one time per day in lukewarm condition.

Fresh potato extract is an excellent natural cure remedy for scurvy and bleeding gums. Consumption of boiled potato would help in natural elimination of scurvy problem.

India gooseberry fruit in raw condition treated by sweet honey is good herbal cure option against natural treatment of scurvy.

Light exercise, like jogging, brisk walking etc. improves blood circulation in body; hence it works against scurvy infection. Maintenance of a good oral hygiene and regular consumption of fresh fruits provide additional support for prompt recovery from the problem.
