Natural remedies: natural skin care remedies for oily skin

The problem of oily skin is its overactive oil glands; this excess oil secretion initiates formation of acne, pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, etc on skin tone and makes it uneven and dull.

A few natural remedies are mentioned here for easy oily skin care, proper oily skin care helps in maintaining clear and radiant skin tone and reduces the problem of blocked skin pores etc.

Apple paste is good face pack for oily skin and it is easy to prepare it by meshing an overripe apple.  The Alpha hydroxy acid content of apple takes care of dead cell exfoliation naturally if applied on skin tone; on 2-3 times use in a week, this pack helps revealing fresh and radiant skin tone. It is a good natural remedy for blackheads and whiteheads treatment.

Sandalwood paste on oily skin tone at regular basis works as an excellent natural cure remedy. On regular use, this simple remedy can reduce appearance of pimples, whitehead, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Flour and turmeric powder are two common items in our kitchen. These two ingredients being combined with lemon juice or yogurt make perfect cleansing face pack for oily and combined skin types. The face pack should be retained on skin till it gets dried completely before have a cold water wash. This remedy should be used 2-3 times per week for oil free glowing skin.

Milk is one of the most common ingredients in our refrigerator and it is a good cleanser for oily skin. It is advised to clean oily skin 2-3 times a day with milk soaked cotton balls. It is a good natural preventive for patchy skin, whiteheads, and acne lesions. However, under- eye-area should be treated gently and carefully while smearing milk for skin cleansing.

An herbal paste is to be prepared by mixing corn flour and rice powder; it is an excellent natural exfoliator for oily skin. This gentle face scrub can be used 3-4 times in a week and regular use of this face pack prevents clogging of the skin pores. For acne prone skin, 5-6 drops of lemon juice are to be added to this exfoliating paste for enhanced cleansing and oil controlling effect.
