Natural Cure Treatment for Heat Rash

Heat rash is induced by heat. It is a kind of skin irritation basically caused due to sweating in hot and damp weather.

This kind of skin irritation is mostly common in young children although it may affect adults and aged alike.

Heat remedies are best managed by cool and humid environment. It is better to use talcum powder for comfort of the affected person but using ointments or cream or the rashes makes the case worse. Generally, treatment of heat rash is simple and hardly demands any further medical intervention.

A few home remedies are described here which can completely cure the irritation.

One of the best natural remedy for heat rash is application of ice pack. Ice pack helps to cool the irritation of skin and prevents further worsening of the case. A few ice-cubes need to be wrapped into a cotton piece of cloth and then to be smeared on the rash affected area. However, for best effect the ice remedy should be repeated in every 3-4 hour interval.

Baking soda is another safe ingredient which helps efficiently to get rid off heat rash almost instantly. The bath water or bath tub needs to be filled with lukewarm water and 2-3 teaspoon baking soda is to be added in it. Before taking a bath in baking soda treated water, you should better mix the added soda with water well. It will work miracle on the heat rash.

Aloe Vera gel helps in curing the itching problem of heat rash and provides a soothing feeling on skin surface. The pure extract from an aloe Vera leaf would serve better healing; however, if aloe Vera plant is not available, aloe-based gel will serve the purpose. For better effect this gel needs to be used in every 4-5 hour interval. Pure aloe-leaf extract needs to be washed off after each application.

Taking cold shower 2-3 times a day would provide better relief in curing the heat rash problem.

In post-shower period, allowing the skin to be air dry is a better option. Rubbing skin with a towel may irritate the skin.

Wearing loose cotton made garments would cure the problem faster.
Wearing a protection of sun block cream, using the shelter of umbrella, and protecting of eye from exposure to sun rays need to be avoided in order to prevent heat rash especially while you are exposed at direct sunlight.
