Natural Cure for Conjunctivitis

The thin membrane covering the front part of eye is named as conjunctiva and conjunctivitis is the inflammation of conjunctiva. This disease is called sore eye or colloquially, it is termed as pink eye.
Immediately after the infection, the eyeball and the inside part of eyelids become reddish and inflamed. The main discomfort of the affected person is itching; in the later stage watery secretion comes out of the affected eye frequently.

Conjunctivitis can be cured best by juices extracted from vegetables. Raw juices from spinach and raw juice from carrot need to be mixed in 1:1 proportion (with 200ml carrot juice with 200 ml spinach juice) need to be consumed in the affected condition. This remedy reduces the intensity of the attack of conjunctivitis.

A decoction made by 4-5 tablespoon of dried coriander seeds in 60-70ml water can work wonder as an eye wash for conjunctivitis affected eye. It reduces swallowing, itching and pain of the affected eye.

Juice of Indian Gooseberry is beneficial as the remedy for conjunctivitis. 1 cup of Indian gooseberry juice with 3-4 tablespoon of honey helps to reduce the intensity of the attack of conjunctivitis.

Place sliced potato in the affected eye of conjunctivitis. Potato is a natural astringent and helps naturally reducing inflammation of pink eye. The slice of potato need to be placed in the affected place at least for 20-25 minutes and this therapy needs to be repeated at least for 3-4 consecutive days.

A clod infusion made by marigold leaves extract and cool boiled water works well as the eyewash to initiate first cure for the conjunctivitis affected eye.

Apply hot compress in eyes for 5-10 minutes for 3-5 times per day.

Chamomile tea bags are helpful home remedy for natural and fast cure of conjunctivitis affected eye. Moist chamomile tea bags in old water and place it on the affected eye for 10-15 minute; it will ensure fast relief from pain, swallowing and burning itchy sensation in eye.
