Managing Dry Skin By Natural Remedies

Dry skin is difficult to manage especially in dry wintry atmosphere because this type of skin tends to be more dehydrated and causes irruptions due to excessive dryness. Apart from the dehydration, frequent contacts with environmental pollutants create skin rash which are not only sensitive in nature but also difficult to manage. It not only initiates irritation and discomfort, also the skin looks dull; wrinkles and aging signs seem to set in a faster pace in dehydrated skin condition where restoring glowing look is hardly possible.

It is better to take some natural prevention to maintain the glowing health of dry skin and irrespective of season, this skin care routine is better to be followed to avert irritation and skin discomforts.

Wheat flour, turmeric powder, and coconut or sesame oil make a fine paste and this smooth paste needs to be applied regularly before bath in the body especially in the exposed parts of the skin that come in contact of nature’s harshness constantly. After application, one should wait for 10-15 minutes and then the paste need to be rubbed off gently. It will initiate exfoliation process, and oil and turmeric add a healthy glow in skin tone. A through bath needs to be followed after this therapy.

Medicated cotton dipped in raw milk works as a natural toner cum skin tonic. After bath this therapy needs to be practiced for 10-15 minutes and milk toning need to be done in neck, throat, hands, and in face. This natural therapy makes dry skin soft and supple even in dry season.

Twice or thrice in a week pampering skin by body massage with almond, olive, or lemon massage oil is good for skin tone. You can mix some essential oils in the massage oil. The massage therapy keeps the blood circulation level proper and maintains a healthy look in skin.

Smearing natural honey and glycerin on body for 5-10 minutes helps to maintain oil balance of dry skin; it works as a natural moisturizer.

Intake of 8-10 glass of water helps to keep the hydration level of skin perfect, which is essential for managing dry skin texture.
