Male Depression
Depression is a big problem that kills the energy and zeal to do normal activities of life. It is such a killer disease that suffering patients from depression it affects abnormal mood wing, loss of appetite, loss of zeal to communicate with others and sometimes it imposes a feeling of insecurity and indifference in a person’s life that he may think about the termination of his life. Although depression may affect more males and females, but male depression comes with more violent possibility of suicide because in most of the cases it goes overlooked and untreated.
The reason to over look the problem of depression is purely socio-physical. The ideas of masculinity nourish an ego of controlling all sort of emotional exuberances and generally men are restrained in expressing their emotional crisis. That is why, depression kind of illness especially mental ailment is considered by them as a sheer threat to their masculinity.
Most often the constant insistence from the side of partners (in case of married persons) or problem in professional area instigates a male patient to consult a doctor. If these symptoms are any how overlooked, the problem gets converted into serious mental obsession and obstruction.
Although male depression symptoms may vary from one person to other, but in general the symptoms are like anger and feeling of frustration, unusual violent repercussion on trivial dispute, losing weight without any special effort, lack of concentration, usual complication induction like reckless driving or indulging extra marital sex, abrupt isolation from friends and family members, unusual fatigue, lack of interest in professional work and in hobbies, induction of alcoholism, misuse of doctor’s prescription, and suicidal tendency.
Apart form these problems, male depression is inflicted with chronic bowel disorder, headache, and some chronic type pains, which are the outcomes of subdued depression.
