Kidney Cancer : Who’re At Risk of It

Kidney cancer prevalently is observed in people more than 40 years of age; however, actual reason for this problem cannot be sorted out specifically. In fact it is tough to make it medically logical for a doctor why kidney cancer affects one person and why not other. However, kidney cancer is not infectious: it cannot be spread from one affected patient to another.

If a person consistently suffers from high blood pressure problem, he/she remains in high risk zone of developing kidney cancer.

Due to some unknown reason, males are more susceptible to kidney cancer than females.

People with abnormal VHL gene may develop kidney cancer in the life span.

People with inherited diseases like Hereditary Papillary Renal Cell Carcinoma are more susceptible in developing the disease of kidney cancer.

Age is a major risk factor for developing kidney cancer.  It is being observed that people develops kidney cancer generally at above 40 years of age. The risk of infliction of this disease increases with aging and reaches at its peak at the age of 60, in general cases.
