Juvenile Diabetes and Its General Symptoms

Juvenile diabetes is an autoimmune disorder. It may cause due to viral infection or due to environmental reason, and ultimately, it hampers the physical function of beta cell. Once the beta cells are perished in a body, the production capacity of insulin gets completely destroyed. A child who has diabetic sibling is more vulnerable to juvenile diabetes. A child suffering from juvenile diabetes is prescribed with long-term treatment process, which includes taking insulin injections regularly for artificial and exterior control of the blood sugar level.

The symptoms of juvenile diabetes are seen all on a sudden and demands immediate medical concern; otherwise the complications may prove fatal in its ultimate effect. Some of the general symptoms are described here but there may be more complications in the affected child than usual complications.

The affected patient may suffer from sudden increased urge for urination; as glucose cannot get to inside cells and it results in high blood sugar. On the other hand, kidneys filter extra sugar which increases the urge and quantity for urination.

As there is huge loss of water from body, the patient feels excessive bout of thirst and it increases the urge for intake of water.

As major portion of glucose are expelled from body due to deficiency of insulin in affected patient’s health system, it results into improved and unusual urge of hunger.

As major potion of glucose is not used for production of energy, body starts taking accumulated fats from body thus the patient suffers from rapids weight loss problem. As for the children it is their growth period, weight loss factor becomes awkwardly acute and odd in gesture for a growing kid.

As juvenile diabetic affected person suffers from acute shortfall of energy, they tend to feel tired very easily and quite frequently.

Due to low energy level and low level of immunity, the patients of juvenile diabetes suffer from frequent infections and often display flu like symptoms. Most often the affected child starts bedwetting at night.

Most often juvenile diabetes affected patients feel fruity smells from mouth due to break down of glucose and release of acetone and ketone bodies.
