Inducing Fiber in Diet Plan
Fiber is a useful ingredient for healthy diet plan as it helps to flush out toxin and keeps the digestive system active; a recommended amount of fiber intake works as preventive of certain diseases like constipation, appendicitis, gallstone, varicose vein etc. There are different kinds of fibers like dietary fibers, functional fibers, and total fiber.
All fibers, irrespective of their source may initiate the problem of flatulence, but the reaction of intaking fiber varies from person to person. That is why which fiber and in what amount need to be consumed in diet should be settled by trial and error method only.
It is neither possible nor wise to incorporate lots of fiber in diet in a short period. Better it is to be found at this moment how much fiber you are taking in diet and accordingly you can increase the intake or incorporation of fiber in diet. Instant incorporation of fiber food in diet can cause gas, flatulence, and other related discomfort like diarrhea.
While you are planning to take high fiber rich diet it should be supported by adequate in take of water otherwise there is high chance to have the problem of acute constipation. Indulge on taking at least 1-2 glass of water after each meal to keep the digestive system supportive for fiber intake.
Excess taking of fiber may bring problem in evacuation as it may initiate loose motion. So about the ideal intake quantity of fiber in take you should consult your doctor or it will be wise to keep watch on your bowel movement. If you are feeling the problem of loose motion you need to regulate your fiber intake or need to change the nature of fiber you are taking in diet. Doctor’s advice in this context is final and need to be followed religiously.
In some cases taking raw vegetables may cause gas problem; it is better to take these with main meal like side dish, for example, like salad. It will decrease the problem of flatulence. You should judge before consumption if you like the taste of the food otherwise you will not be able to stick to the diet irrespective of its nutrition value and health quotient.
