It is said that healthy food makes a healthy life. However flu is such an infection which cannot be resisted even by a healthy immunity system completely. Of course there is certain good and bad food categorization in accordance to flu infection; some food can provide good back up to overcome the illness within a short span, on reverse some foods may aggravate the situation and can worsen the condition. A common misconception about flu diet is created generally by the patient itself is the indulgence of wrong food.

Due to temporary loss of appetite the patient anticipates that whatever he can consume should be allowed for his/her diet. And in this way some wrong foods are consumed which can worsen the situation.

During flu these food items should be avoided like alcohol, sugar candy, fried foods, cheese, milk, butter, dairy products, salty foods and carbonated drinks. These foods lead to set dehydration and some of them tends to thicken the threat mucus and intensifies the virus attack.
