Hypoglycemia

Hypoglycemia is low count of sugar in blood and low count of sugar in blood is considering as a health disorder when sugar counts goes far below the normal level and fails to provide adequate energy to body and displays the symptoms like low sugar count, certain discomfort on low sugar count, and the symptoms are not present when sugar level gets normal by external intervention.
While counting on blood sugar level by fasting conditions the parameters are 70-99mg/dl is normal, 50-69mg/dl is counted as slightly low in count, and sugar count less than 50mg/dl is considered as acute low.
Glucose is carried by bloodstream; glucose is produced by the digestion of carbohydrates and other food sources and germinates energy which is supplied in the cells. Unused glucose is stored in liver in the form of glycogen. Glucagon and insulin is the controlling hormone that determines the normal count of sugar in blood. Existence of these hormones in too high or too low quantity in health system causes hypoglycemia which denotes too low count sugar in blood.
Hypoglycemia may occur in case of patients suffering fro diabetistype1 and type -2. Patients who suffer fro insulin resistance can also have the problem of hypoglycemia in those cases where their high circulating insulin level in blood is further aggravated by prolong fasting process. Insulin producing tumors (inulinomas) and certain medication may produce hypoglycemia.
Despite the advancement in diabetic treatment, the disorder of hypoglycemia has remained as a limiting factor in managing optimum control in blood sugar level. Extensive research shows that hypoglycemia occurred in those patients who were treated most intensively both in case of type-1 and-2 diabetes.
The best possible arrangement of hypoglycemia deserves the prompt delivery of a source wherefrom sugar can be absorbed in blood easily. Consumption of regular soda, lifesavers, juice, table sugar, and glucose powder are good option to raise the glucose count in blood for the time being.
In general case 15 grams of glucose dose is given and then the symptoms are to be watched followed by sugar level check. If no improvement is noticed after 10 minutes wait, another dose of 10-15 grams of glucose can be given. Maximum up to three time you can repeat the process, if there is no improvement in the patient, if have to consider that the patient in non- responsive to this therapy and it I better to call an ambulance to shift the patient in hospital.
