How to Lose Weight Naturally in Post-Pregnancy Period

The nine-month waiting period of pregnancy results in two-fold ways. On one side, the mom receives the joy of her life, the motherhood and a tiny angel of her own, and on the other hand, she starts suffering from the seamless worries about her extra-weight gained during the pregnancy period.Although shedding off extra weights in post-delivery period is not very easy, however this tough task can be managed if a new mom plans positively about her weight-loss program.

Weight gain during pregnancy is not an overnight phenomenon; however, it is neither easy nor wise to plan to shed off the extra weight by crash dieting. As new mothers need to accommodate with some life style changes with the baby and his nursing schedules, she needs some extra calories for lactation and adequate production of breast milk.

Therefore crash diet for weight shedding in fast pace is not recommended in this period for a nursing mother. So whenever a new mom should make plan for weight shedding through slow but steady natural process.

In post- delivery period the mom should maintain a healthy and balanced diet chart; however, it not recommended in any condition that the pregnant mother should indulge in skipping meals. Diet should be balanced and nutritious but free from fried, junk types and processed food items for betterment in weight loss programs.

After 1-2 weeks of delivery on prior permission of attending doctor, the new mom can start light exercise or yoga practice as per the guidance for a yoga expert. In case, she get cannot get in touch with a yoga expert, she can start brisk walking for 15 minutes in morning and 15 minutes in evening in a plain surface. Later on, she can gradually increase the walking- time as well as impose exercise like jogging, running etc. subject to permission of her doctor.

Breastfeeding is a natural way which helps a lactating mother to shed off her pregnancy induced weight with any adverse impact on her health system; however, only breastfeeding process is not sufficient to regain the old slim and trim figure. This process is to be supported by active exercise and restriction on diet.

Once all these factors are coordinated together, surprisingly but positively, a new mom would find her back in old shape within next 6-month time after delivery of her baby.
