Homemade shampoo
Shampoo has become nowadays an integral ingredient for hair care. There are multiple options of shampoo available in market and it is recommended to use a shampoo according to hair type and hair condition. If some one has curly hair, she should use shampoo for curly hair, similarly the person who use hair color at regular basis should use color guard shampoo.However, it is possible that all shampoos, despite their good quality, may not be suitable for all hair, or the shampoo you are opting may not suit your budget. In these situations, homemade shampoo is the best option because you can keep an eye on the ingredients as well as you can keep the expense within your budget.

This is a shampoo recipe for normal hair. The base ingredients are ¼ of distilled water, ¼ cup of unscented castile soap, ½ teaspoon grape seed oil, ½ teaspoon jojoba oil. All the ingredients should be mixed together and then has to store it in a bottle. Every time before use you need to shake the bottle. Shelf life is around 2 weeks.
This homemade shampoo recipe is for dry hair. The ingredients are ¼ cup of distilled water, ¼ cup of castile soap, liquid, unscented, any flavor 8-10 drops, ¼ cup of aloe Vera gel, ¼ tea spoon of jojoba oil or avocado oil, and 1 teaspoon of glycerin; all these ingredients are to be mixed together before storing in an air tight bottle. Before every use, you have to shake the bottle and after every application on scalp, allow the combination to stay on scalp and hair for 10 minutes followed by cold water wash.
Dandruff is a great problem for dry scalp and oily hair. There are many anti-dandruff shampoos available in market but most of them are strong chemical based and may not be gentle for dandruff as well as for the hair strands.
The ingredients are ¼ cup of distilled water, ¼ cup of liquid castile soap, ½ teaspoon grape seed or jojoba oil, 3 tablespoon apple juice, 1-2 table spoon apple cider vinegar, and 3-4 delicately chopped cloves. We have to churn all these ingredients together in a blender for 20-30 seconds to make the final product.
Ideally, this shampoo should be applied in wet hair followed by thorough wash in lukewarm water. The shelf life of this home made shampoo is 2-3 days after making.
