Home Remedy For Razor Burn

Razor burn is a common problem mostly for men, and for those ladies who use the method of saving in order to remove body hairs. The friction between soft skin and metallic razor causes the problem; a few home remedies are there, which can prevent this minor but regular painful experience in a great effective way.

Apple cider vinegar is a common item in kitchen. If you are facing discomfort with razor burn, simple patting of apple cider vinegar on the shaved area will comfort your pain.

Aloe Vera oil is an excellent remedy for minor injuries and shaving discomfort. Dab a cotton ball in aloe Vera oil and apply the oil with the help of the cotton ball on the paining area to get instant relief from the discomfort of razor burn.

The fresh extract of potato helps neutralizing the burning sensation of razor burn. You can apply thin slice of fresh cut potato on the discomfort area to get great relief from this problem.

Application of honey and petroleum jelly helps curing the discomfort of razor burn. Honey heals wound by natural hydration and petroleum jelly soothes the wound. This application needs to be repeated three to four times a day o heal the problem.

If you can spend a little time before starting of the shaving process for protection of your skin, you will be able to minimize the burning effect in a larger extent. You need to moist to be shaved area with a hot water-soaked towel.

[The water should be treated with 3-4 drops of lavender oil.]You should pat the area to be shaved several times and then apply a thin coat of jojoba or avocado oil here. This precautionary process will prevent razor burn to recur.

You can shave in the direction of your hair growth, it will actually involve more time but it is the best natural way to prevent occurrence of razor burn.

Make a combination of ¼ cup of rose water, ¼ cup of witch hazel [strained], ¼ tea spoon vegetable glycerin, 3-4 drops of sandalwood oil, and 3-4 drops of lavender oil, together. You need to store the combination in an air tight bottle in a cool place and shake it well before each application thoroughly. This natural astringent lotion will provide instant relief from razor burn discomfort.
