Home Remedy for Peeling Skin

Skin consists of three layers like epidermis the outer most layer, dermis, the middle layer, and hypodermis, the inner most layer. So when the skin is peeling there is some change in the outer most layer of skin that is in epidermis part of skin. In each 28days the peeling of skin occurs and it is replaced by new layer. Normally this is done due to friction, heavy exposure to sunlight, acute hydration and other skin related environmental issues.

So in normal case the peeling of skin is a temporary phase and is replaced naturally after a certain time.

As it is not a painful or infectious disease hardly any suffering person from peeling skin visits doctors. Although not fatal at all but it causes irritation and hampers the normal look of the skin abruptly. There are some effective home care remedies that prevent the peeling of skin or keeps skin soft and irritation free.

Grated cucumber needs to be applied in the affected area it will give a soothing effect. The grated cucumber as a pack needs to be kept at least for 15-20 minutes. Regular application of this fruit pack keeps skin soft.

A smooth combination of honey, turmeric, sandalwood powder, and olive oil makes a good paste, this paste can be applied in the cracked skin, it is a wonderful home remedy to cure patched skin and rejuvenation of new cells.

Application of fresh mint juice at night before going to bed, works well in prevention of skin peeling.

You can take one half of a lemon. Rub it gently in the affected zone. Keep the citrus juice with the skin for 15-20 minutes and then rinse off with cold water. You need to repeat this remedy for at least thrice a day to prevent discomfort of peeling skin.

White sugar and brown sugar needs to be taken together and have to put slight water in it to make them wet. You can apply the combination on the affected skin and then rinse of.

You can mince yeast, add some fresh extracted lemon juice in it, and rub the mixture in the affected skin part gently. Rinse off with cold water. Repeat this process regularly at least for 7-10 days.
