Home Remedy for Headache
Headache is irritation and pain in head. Sometimes it is felt in neck and lower portion of head. Depending on the intensity of the pain headache may be severe or of mild type. In most of the cases the associate symptoms like nausea, dullness, numbness of limb, discomfort and irritation becomes more painful and the affected patients suffers from the pain as well as with the other relative issues which results in abrupt mood swing and lack of concentration in normal mode of activities. Sometimes, vomiting may accompany severe headache.
According to Indian Ayurveda, there are three main vices that create headache and depending on the proportion of these vices there are existences of 11 types of headaches. These three vices that create headache are pitta (bile), bayu (air/gas), and cough(mucus or congestion). Sometimes headache is caused by stress, hypertension, over load of work and in anxiety related disease.
In some cases headache is the side symptom of some sever ailment. So if the problem of headache recur on an on despite using the home remedies, it is better to consult a doctor immediately for proper investigation for the cause of headache.
A smooth paste made of sandalwood powder applied on forehead helps to cure the problem of headache.
You can take one teaspoon cinnamon, clove and almond each and can make a smooth paste out of the mixture and apply it on your forehead.
Take one quarter of clove powder and one teaspoon of cinnamon oil and make a paste. Apply this paste on the ailing forehead and try to take rest for sometimes.
You can inhale eucalyptus oil. It may relieve the pain caused by the severe, moderate and minor kind of headache.
Mix quarter cup of vinegar in a bowl full of boiling water and take steam of it .This time cover your head so that you should not get any vapor or steam at your hair.
If you are facing regular headache, consumption of cabbage juice may help in prevention of recurrence of headache. In case, you have of severe headache regularly, call up your doctor for clinical investigation.
