Home Remedy for Head Lice Removal

Head lice causes extreme irritation in head as well causes extreme embarrassment in social life if encountered by exposure. It is harmful scalp also because thee parasites live on the health and nutrition of hair.

Some chemical products are available over the counters for effective and instant lice treatment, however using these chemical is using almost mils pesticides in hair which may have adverse effect n hair as well as for scalp skin.

Home remedies for lice treatment involves comparatively safer products and uses of which do not cause any harmful side effect for skin .It is safe for use on children also because incase the chemicals come in contact of children’s eye, it may cause severe damage.

Before applying any lice treatment remedy wash you hair with normal shampoo followed by deep conditioning. Application of conditioner on scalp will cause an oily feature in hair and difficulty for the lice to grip it. It will help to work the treatment products work faster.

Take (tulsi) basil leaves 5-6 as per your head size and blend them into a smooth paste and apply it on scalp and retain over night. Apply shampoo on hair and rinse thoroughly before washing.

Take ginger juice and lemon juice in 1: 1 proportion [2 teaspoon vs 2 teaspoon] and apply in on scalp and keep it over night. Next morning apply shampoo and wash your hair thoroughly. Repeat the therapy for 3-5 days regular at night.

Take 5-6 guava leaves and turmeric roots and make a fine paste out of it. Apply in hair and keep over night. Wash your hair with shampoo in the next morning. Repeat the process on next week after the first application.

Make a decoction of neem leaves into water and keep it after cooling off. Meanwhile make a smooth paste with grinded and blended neem leaves and apply the paste on the lice affected scalp. Keep it for 5-6 hours and then wash off with the neem decoction. Repeat the process after 2-wek interval.

Make a smooth pate with grinded and well blended paste made with the seeds of custard apple and apply it on the lice infested head overnight, in the morning the hairs are to be washed thoroughly. However, the paste in poisonous in nature should never be used with children and take all possible precautions to protect your eyes from this paste or paste infested water.

Aromatherapy is effective for head lice treatment. In 30 ml vegetable oil mix up 4 drops of geranium, 4 drops of rosemary, 4 drops of eucalyptus oil and 4 drops of tea tree oil and apply on head for 25-30 minute followed by thorough wash. Repeat the process after two days of the last application.
