Herbal Remedy for Nose Bleeding

Nose bleeding is termed as epistaxis. It, in most cases, is a minor problem and can be managed in home with the aid of herbal remedies. Nose bleeding can be caused by various reasons like sudden blow at nose, problem of sinusitis, acute injury, and sudden shock on nose caused by accident.

Lemon is an antidote for nose bleeding as it helps to coagulate blood faster. Put 2-3 drops of lemon juice in the nostril and put the head in tilted position to retain the juice inside nose. It will stop nose bleeding instantly.

Salt water is another effective home remedy as it helps to coagulate blood instantly. Put one or two drops of salted water in nostril and it will stop the bleeding almost instantly.

Pat ice cold water or crushed ice on nose it will help to stop bleeding.

Soak some apple cider vinegar in cotton ball and lightly place it in nostril. Apply cider vinegar will help to coagulate blood instantly, in result, it will stop bleeding.

Mix red sandalwood (rakta chandan), liquorices (yastimadhu), and nagakesara together in 1:1:1 proportion and make a fine powder out of it. Add two tea spoon of it in lukewarm milk and consume it. It will help to stop nose bleeding.

While your nose is bleeding lie down in tilted head position and place a half cut onion in front of the nose; the smell of onion helps to coagulate blood faster.

To stop nose bleeding alum powder needs to be mixed with ghee and in semi liquid condition pour one drop each in nostril.

Freshly extracted amla (Indian Gooseberry) juice need to be poured in each nostril that stops bleeding.

Smash some durva (grass) and pour the extract of durva in the bleeding nostril, it works instantly to stop bleeding.

The leaves of pomegranate flower and leaves have a special aroma which stops bleeding nose. In sever bleeding, nasal drop made by pomegranate juice and leaves extract can be used as nasal drop.
