Herbal Remedies for Tired Eye

Tired Eye is a common eye syndrome seen in our surrounding frequently. Heaviness in head and puffiness in eyes are the major symptoms for this issue.  There are different reasons for tired eye syndrome like lack of adequate sleep at night, eye strain due to constant work in front of computer or glaring source of light, fatigue, excessive crying, allergy, conjunctivitis infection, and other issue related to pollution and contact of pollutants. Tired eyes are not a fatal disease and can be treated at home with some simple comfort remedies.

One of the simplest remedy home remedies for tired eyes is placing two ice cold spoons on eyes; spoons should be placed in freezer but the spoons should not be freezed in any condition. This simple remedy is an excellent natural antidote for puffy eye issue.

Cold tea water is reliable natural cure remedy for tired eye. The cotton balls should be soaked in tea water and placed on the eyelids for sometime to reduce the puffiness as well as discomfort in eyes.

Other than placing tea water soaked cotton balls, placing thin slice of cucumber on eye lids works well to treat the problem efficiently. Instead of these two options, application of milk soaked cotton ball on eye lids cures the problem of puffiness as well.

Those who work in front of computer or in front of any light source should rinse eye frequently in order to blink more and more. Frequent washing of eyes will help to activate optical tear glands and the problem of dry eye is prevented.

Application of water and lavender oil mixture on eye will help in curing the heaviness and irritation of tired eye problem.

Washing eyes in the morning with strained decoction of triphala works as a natural eye tonic and treats the problem of tired eyes efficiently.

Hydration is an important issue of tired eye treatment. Consumption of plenty of water at regular basis [8-10 glasses per day] maintains internal hydration level of body and cures the discomforts of tired eye problem.

Placing potato slices on closed eye lids also helps in natural treatment of tired eye problem. Application of rose water soaked cotton ball is a reliable comfort remedy for the itchiness and burning sensation of tired eye issue.
