Oatmeal is a good natural antidote for poison ivy rash and intense itching discomfort of rash. On diligent use it takes toxins out of the patchy area and thus reduces the problem. Oatmeal can be applied as a thick paste on the skin patches or should be added to bath tub to take dip in it.
While taking the oatmeal bath, it is suggested to apply oatmeal paste on the patches in a goopy oozing style; it will stop the itching and will check the further spread of the infection.
Plantain remedy is the best natural antidote for the instant care of poison ivy itching problem. In fact, plantain remedy work against all itchy rashes. A tender leaf of plantain needs to be meshed to apply the extract on the skin rash to get instant relief out of the problem.
Smearing lemon juice, or apple cider vinegar, or juice of green tomato works effectively in reducing the discomfort of tingling and itching of the rash. Alternatively, a combination of buttermilk, vinegar, and salt works well to treat the problem of poison ivy rash discomfort.
Application of lavender and rosemary oil fusion with a carrier oil like jojoba or coconut oil works fast in reducing the pain and discomforts of the rash issue due to poison ivy. However, peppermint oil might prove irritating for some people, so a prior patch test would be better option before application.
Smearing baking soda pate is good option for poison ivy skin rash treatment. This simple but effective remedy reduces skin rash and itching discomfort.
Rubbing fresh cut yellow onion work well against the irritation and tingling sensation of poison ivy. The onion slice remedy needs to be repeated at least 3-4 times a day.
