Healthy Tips To Reduce Itching by Dry Skin
When there is no specific reason for skin itching it becomes difficult to identify the reason for itching. However, in general cases the problem of itching is followed by intense rash, inflammation, redness, scaling or sores of the skin tone and often we identify the reason for itching by these visible symptoms.
If none of the general itching related side-symptoms are visible against the problem of itching in a patient, we can assume the problem is dry skin. If you are suffering from intense itching and the problem is relived after smearing some moisturizer on the skin tone, you can always assume that you are suffering from dry skin syndrome.
The problem of dry skin is basically seen in body areas like back side of knee, the area near elbow joint, neck, shoulder joints, armpits, upper portion of chest, and in the inner side of thighs.
The use of baking soda helps in curing the problem of skin itching very efficiently. Baking soda treated water [one cup baking soda in one standard bath tub filled water] helps in reducing the problem of itching. A paste made of baking soda and water [in 3:1 ratio]is also beneficial for the natural cure for any kind of itching, however, one should never use this baking soda paste onĀ broken skin surface.
Smearing raw juice of lemon on itching skin will cause slight burning sensation for a few seconds but the anti-inflammatory and anti fungal qualities of lemon juice will reduce the intensity of itching with instant effect.
You can make some basil tea and allow it to be cool. Then you need to smear the basil tea on the itching skin, or you can soak a small towel in the basil tea and smear the tea on itchy skin tone. [While you need to prepare the basil tea, you should keep the lid of the pot in closed condition so that the aroma of basil should not get evaporated]. This remedy can be repeated for 3-6 times a day depending on the intensity of the itching.
