It is useless to introduce potato because it is one of the most popular vegetables worldwide. However, apart from its versatile culinary uses, this vegetable is packed with tons of health benefits some of which are mentioned here.

Potato is loaded with unprocessed carbohydrate and a little amount of protein in it. Those who are pursuing weight gain program should consume potato in their diet at regular basis to help in gaining weight.

Due to rich carbohydrate contents of potato it is easy to digest and tasteful as well. This is the reason boiled potato is prescribed for babies, patients or for weak persons who require supply of natural energy from their light diets or for those who cannot take very heavy diet as meal. Potato contains natural fiber so it is helpful for appetite control and easy bowel movement.
