In nut category almond is the highest protein content nuts; it is rich in potassium, magnesium, phosphorous, and calcium.

Almond contains lots of oleic acid. Almonds are one of the oldest cultivated foods from old tradition of agriculture.

Consumption of almond is extremely good for cholesterol patients. It has been found by survey and extensive research that daily consumption of almond around 3 ounces reduces up to 14% cholesterol.

According to one study almonds are well balanced food and thus munching almonds will definitely help in neutralizing hunger and controls the tendency to overeat. Munching almonds through out the day is a good remedy to treat the problem of binge eating.

Almonds are full with lots of protein, calcium, natural fiber, potassium, magnesium, vitamin E, antioxidants and phytochemical elements. Because of its antioxidant and phytochemical content, almond is a natural preventive of cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease and other chronic health related problems.

Almond is a heart friendly nut. Its magnesium content protects heart from different infection and keeps strong.

Almonds are considered as good promoter of health as they form a balanced diet plan being combined with whole grain products, fruits and vegetables. However, while consumption it is not wise to remove the peel because almond skin contains more or less twenty types of flavonoids which are natural powerful antioxidants.

Almond contains adequate amount of boron; boron is extremely useful male health because it can prevent the induction of prostrate cancer.

Regular and restricted intake of almond reduces the rise of blood sugar and of insulin and thus it is considered as an effective treatment for diabetes.
Almond is full of vegetable protein; in fact if we compare an egg and an almond about the protein content, astonishingly almonds will show higher protein count.

Almond contains folate or folic acid; folic acid reduces the possibilities of birth defect in to-be-born babies and also good for making red blood cells in blood. Folate is responsible for cardiac problems like heart attack and strokes.

Almond is rich in copper content; due to copper presence, almond can take adequate care for bones, blood vessels, and nerves and keeps them helthy. Copper in almond reduces the chance of cardiac arrest, thus heart patients should include almonds in their daily diet.
