Harmful Effect of Storing Extra Iron In Male Body
Although iron is a necessary nutrient, it is required in a small quantity in the health system. While the right proportion of iron helps to make immunity system strong and active, excess intake of iron may cause severe problems in health by triggering fatal diseases like cancer, heart ailment etc.; due to excess intake of iron some other diseases may get induced in body like arthritis, diabetes, liver problem, and some problems related to endocrine glands.
Storage of extra iron is body is harmful for both men and women; however, women are rather risk- free from this complication because the amount of excess iron can go out of their body by their periodical menstruation period but there is no such way for men to get rid off this typical problem. At least in pre-menopausal period, women are free from the risk of getting induced by these diseases; while in contrary, the excess iron accumulation creates high risk factor for men’s health factor.
It has been observed that iron triggers the process of generating free radicals and free radical cells are cancer prone. In fact, the proportion of free radical cells is highly proportionate to the quantity of iron accumulated in body.
Not only iron leads to generation of free radical cells but also provides the source of food for these free radical cells which proves to be a dangerous situation for a man about his health. That is why a man must have the eye on the iron level of his body to be sure about the risk of his heath.
The free radicals promoted by intake of iron may cause heart disease in a male body. Free radicals react on cholesterol and convert them in oxygenated condition. In oxygenated condition cholesterols degenerate and keep blocking the arteries and create obstruction of the arteries supplies nutrients to required oxygen to heart and gradually impose heart disease on the health system.
In case of men regular blood donation and consumption of low-iron diet helps to regulate the amount of iron in body. Although men and women are both susceptible to this problem of iron accumulation, men in all through his life are more vulnerable to this disease and related risk factor; that is why greater precautions on this issue is highly recommended.
