General Symptoms for Ear Infection
Ear infection can be introduced in health system due to different reasons; however, viral or bacterial infection is the most common reason for this infection. Mostly children are prey to this problem, however ear infection can hit old and young alike.
Sinusitis is another reason for ear infection. Here some of the general symptoms of ear infection are discussed, although symptoms may vary from one person to another with variable intensity. In most of the cases nasal congestion and slight fever are the most obvious symptoms for ear infection but there is high chance to misunderstand these symptoms as the general symptoms of viral fever or cold attack.
However, if you feel that the fever is nagging in nature and you have nasal congestion without other cold symptoms, you have to consider ear infection as one of the reasons behind these symptoms. However intensity of fever may vary from one person to another.
Ear infection generally causes severe ear ache and it becomes unbearable sometimes to carry on with normal activities while suffering from ear infection. If left untreated, the pain and irritation may hamper eating initiative and natural sleep abruptly.
The severity of ear ache gets intensified in lying condition and thus normal sleeping pattern of a person, suffering from ear infection, is greatly hampered.
Due to pain and discomfort the affected patients hardly feel any impetus to eat. Sometimes throat gets chocked; in some cases chewing or swallowing due to ear infection becomes hard to manage.
Vomiting is not a very common symptom for ear infection at least for the adults; however, kids are more prone to suffer from this problem.
Due to lack of normal and adequate sleep and insufficient food intake, we tend to suffer from lose motion problem. But lose motion or diarrhea is not a general symptom for ear infection.
Ear ache, ear discharge, and problem of blocked ears are the acute symptoms for ear infection. Some patient may start listening to hissing or ringing sound in ear. This is called tinnitus infection. Tinnitus is again another authentic symptom of ear infection.
