Gum problem initiates dental decay, bleeding and swollen gums, plaque formation in teeth, and loose teeth problems. It is necessary to visit doctor’s chamber regularly, otherwise there is high chance to suffer in teeth issue in advanced stage of gum problem.
There are some dietary remedies which work against problem gums and helps in enjoying better dental health. Some of the dental friendly foods are listed here.
Vitamin C-rich foods, for example kiwi fruit, mango, papaya, orange, grapefruits, lemon cantaloupe, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and red pepper etc are immensely potential for dental health for rich vitamin-C content. It can be taken in supplement form also however, it is better to avoid chewable tablet because the sour taste may prove adverse for the health and enamel of teeth.
Consumption of adequate vitamin D-rich foods works have anti-inflammatory effects as well as it protects gums from being diseased. Walking under sun for 10-15 minutes, at least two times in a week helps imposing vitamin D potency in health.
Consumption of tuna fish, mackerel, sardine, milk and milk products, salmon fish margarine, egg, beef, and Swiss cheese contains ample amount of vitamin-D, hence consumption of these foods in restricted amount, proves potential for prevention of gum disease.
Consumption of unsweetened cranberry juice has multi-health benefits; out of the list, dental health is one of the main benefits. Consumption of cranberry juice prevents bacteria from sticking to teeth.
Consumption of raw carrot or raw celery helps to maintain dental hygiene; it helps to neutralize streptococcus bacteria which stand responsible for initiating dental cavities by producing extra saliva.
Sesame seeds help to prevent formation of health and retain tooth enamel. It also retains the strength of bone around gums and teeth. Consumption of sesame seeds in steamed vegetable dishes or in salad helps a lot in maintaining dental health.
Consumption of cheese helps in natural balancing acidic pH responsible for dental cavity. Cheese consumption produces more amount of saliva thus prevents cavities and takes are of dental enamel.
