First Aid Remedies for Eye Ache
Any problem regarding eye should be reported to eye specialist immediately because it might prove dangerous to indulge self-care for any eye related problem. However, if you feel eye ache in the midnight or in an awkward place where you cannot get in touch with an eye specialist immediately, you can try these simple remedial advises.
If the eye is paining, you can try a cold wash with running cold water, and then it is wise to take rest for some times in closed eye condition. It is preferred to wash eye frequently with lukewarm boiled water in order to avoid any chance of contamination or irritation due to presence of unwanted chemicals in the water.
You can make a bowlful decoction with boiled water and coriander seeds. After the decoction gets cooled off, you are recommended to wash off eyes with this cold decoction frequently. Otherwise you can make a saline decoction with cupful water and salt in it and allow your paining eye to be washed by this salty water frequently.
A decoction made with green tea in cool condition works well as a home made eye rinse. However, as these home made rinses and diction are made locally and are kept without any preservative, it would be safe to consume the entire decoction within 20-24 hours time so that there is no chance of eye infection.
Triphala is a wonder herb and excellent herbal tonic for eye. Soak some dry herbs of triphala into some boiled cooled water overnight. In the morning strain the decoction and remove the dry herbs from the water. You should wash your paining eye frequently with this triphala soaked water. This herbal remedy, not only removes pain and irritation, it improves eye vision naturally and efficiently.
Home made rosewater can be made with fresh rose petals and boil water, and this combination should be heated in low flame for ½ an hour. After cooling, you need to use this decoction as an excellent natural tonic for eyes. This homemade eye rinse not only cures pain, it helps to soothe eye also with instant effect.
