Efficient Herbal Remedies for Food Poisoning Recovery

Food poisoning is the result for consumption of spoiled or contaminated foods. There are different reasons for food spoilage like infliction of parasites and pathogenic bacteria, virus etc, or wrong or unhygienic handling of food materials, improper culinary preparation of food, and unhealthy storage system.

Food poisoning can affect a person or more than one person at a time and can vary from its intensity of attack from person to person. Strong discomfort of nausea, loose motion, headache, frequent vomiting are the symptoms for food poison.

You need to mix one tea spoon poppy seeds, one tea spoon cardamom powder, one tea spoon edible gum, 2 tea spoon sugar, and ½ tea spoon of nutmeg, and grind the ingredients together in powder form. The patient suffering from food poisoning should consume 1-2 teaspoon of this herbal combination in every 2-hour gap.

Ginger helps in elimination of food poisoning discomforts efficiently. Small pieces of ginger need to be turned into the form of a smooth paste by mixing buttermilk in it. The patient of food poisoning should consume this herbal medicine 2-3 times a day. Consumption of ginger extract with lemon juice also helps to get instant and efficient relief from the discomfort of nausea and vomiting. In case of acute and frequent disturbance of nausea, the herbal combination of ginger and lemon extract should be treated with black pepper powder. This herbal combination should be consumed 3-5 times a day.

An herbal tea needs to be prepared by mixing raspberry, mint, chamomile, and blackberry for frequent consumption by food poisoning patient to reduce the discomfort and uneasiness due to this infection.

If the acute problem of food poisoning can be subsided by treatment, the uneasiness, body pain, loss of appetite, and disturbances of nausea remains active further 3-4 days; an herbal remedy made with yoghurt and basil extract will help a lot. You need to take ½ cup yoghurt, basil leave extract 2-3 table spoon full, a pinch of black pepper, and a pinch of black salt in it to make an herbal infusion. This efficient herbal remedy would help in relieving from body weakness, body pain, and proneness to vomiting for the suffering patients.
