Eczema-Living With The Disease
There is no definite cure process for eczema; however, there are many options of treatments, which can manage the annoyance of eczema. Rather it is better to say that there are some life style modifications which can help coping with the stress of eczema as well to keep control over the disease.
Eczema is a chronic skin disorder. That is why, prevention for eczema is considered as the best cure process for this recurring skin disorder. People who have problem of eczema should avoid use of detergent, harsh chemical based soaps and other skin irritants. Habit of wearing rubber gloves for house hold works and use of cotton gloves for cleaning work should be religiously maintained.
The eczema affected people should prefer to stay in airy environment where there is optimum access to sunlight and open natural air so the furniture and furnishing of house should be kept dust mite free. Regular vacuum cleaning of curtains and upholstery will be helpful in creating a dust-free environment which is convenient for natural control of eczema.
Bed sheets and bed covers should be washed at 50 C temperature; washing in hot water medium helps in killing the dust mites from the items to live in maximum allergy-free environment.
In winter season, natural prevention for cold should be used instead of mechanical heating system otherwise eczema affected patients may suffer from excessive dry skin syndrome.
While bathing, eczema patients should try to take bath in lukewarm water because too hot water may irritate skin and initiate rash on skin tone. In post-bath phase, eczema patients should smear aloe based moisturizer on skin tone to avert dryness at regular basis. Bubble bath should be avoided by eczema patients in all situations.
In some instances, eczema patients emerge as sensitive to animal dander; in these cases it is wise not to have cats and dogs as pet in house. The children allergic in nature or have chronic problem of eczema should avoid playing with furry toys. In case of they play with furry toys, the toys should be washed regularly to keep them free from dust and allergy irritants.
Although sunlight is a natural remedy for eczema treatment, over exposure to sunlight may cause skin irritation. Therefore, eczema patients should use sun screen lotion to prevent any adverse effect on skin irritation regularly at sun exposure.
