Ectopic Pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy is an abnormal pregnancy where the pregnancy develops outside the mother’s womb which is termed as uterus. In this process of pregnancy the fertilized embryo stays and gets developed mostly in the fallopian tube and cannot be a successful one which develops gradually into fetus. Ectopic type of abnormal pregnancy occurs when due to some reasons the fertilized embryo cannot roll into uterus, as it happens in case of normal pregnancies. Ectopic pregnancy can be detected by 5-10 weeks after conception.

Most common types of ectopic pregnancies are found to be occurred in fallopian tube which takes the fertilized embryo in the uterus. In some specific case ectopic pregnancies are found as attached to bowel, on ovaries, or in other places of abdomen.

The acute and immediate problem of Ectopic pregnancy is the severe internal bleeding and fatal condition of the carrying mother. If the fertilized egg remains within the fallopian tube, in case of tubal pregnancy, with the growth it get ruptured due to abnormal expansion and so is the attached main artery with this tube results in profuse internal bleeding.

In case of ectopic pregnancy the symptoms are often misinterpreted as the sign of miscarriage and pelvic inflammatory disease. So whenever a carrying mother will experience any of the following symptoms within 5-10 weeks of conception, she should visit the gynecologist immediately for medical intervention in the emergency basis.

The most prevalent symptoms of ectopic pregnancies are severe vaginal bleeding, terrible pelvic and abdominal pain that unable the patient even to stand properly.

Associates symptoms are excessive paleness, sweating, rapid (100/minute) heartbeat, and excessive dizziness which make the patient like in a falling out condition.

The above mentioned symptoms requires severe medical intervention with a carrying mother. If your doctor is not available you need to rush any emergency unit of a nursing home or hospital for emergency medical treatment facility.

Any attempt to treat the patient at home may turn immense risky for the patient and may result fatal. So doctor’s help and medical intervention is essential and the only way to save the life of the carrying lady.
The best way to avoid the chance of ectopic pregnancy is to reduce the risk factors or triggering factors.

In this case a consultation with the attending doctor will be the best. Incase you had a problem like pelvic inflammation, history of sexual disease, and previous history of surgery in reproductive system, it may induce some chances for occurrence of ectopic pregnancy in some specific cases. Doctor’s advice can prevent this abnormal pregnancy.
