Easy Treatments for Foot Fungus

Foot fungal infection mostly takes place due to tinea pedis and this problem takes place in damp and moist feet. That is why people who wear shoes all day long are more susceptible to this kind of skin infections. Those who wear shoes for long time are prone to excessive sweating, moist feet are more vulnerable to this  fungal attack. This particular type of fungal attack takes place in the gaps between the toes and causes a burning itching sensation followed by formation of small blisters in the infected place.
The infected area becomes dark and cracked due to excessive dryness.

There are a few home remedies which can be tried on this type of fungal infections; however, it is better to consult a dermatologist while trying these remedies by you for medical diagnosis of the problem.

Application of onion and garlic paste will provide sure relief from the itching problem; however, the paste needs to be there on the infected area at least for one hour.

You can soak a cotton ball  in tree tea oil and rub the oil on the infected area of feet to get rid off the fungal infection. Other than tree tea oil, application of clove oil, apple cider vinegar, hydrogen peroxide solution, or alcohol, respectively will serve the same purpose.

Those who are suffering from foot fungus problem should sprinkle boric powder and baking soda before slip in the shoes for whole day. The dryness of boric powder will prevent perspiration in feet and will prevent the toe gaps from getting humid which will prevent further spreading of the fungal infection. At the end of the day, you should soak your feet in Epsom salt treated water for ½ an hour to 45 minutes.

Wearing freshly washed cotton socks will prevent excessive sweating and will care for your feet. You should  wash off your feet with antiseptic soap water frequently, it will help out the fungal crisis.

As these foot fungus infections are infectious and can be spread easily, it is wise not to use other’s socks and shoes. If possible maintain two shoes, and use them alternatively so that the inside of shoe gets dried before you slip in it.
