Easy Tips for Learning Pedicure

Pedicure is the care and pampering for leg, toe nails, and feet. It cleanses, exfoliates and keeps the skin tone of legs and feet smooth and soft. Pedicure can be done in salon by trade expert beautician however, if you know the right method you can do your pedicure at home by own.

Regular pedicure process maintains foot skin soft and supple. It improves skin condition, blood circulation of foot skin, and nourishes foot muscles by gentle and efficient massage. Regular pedicure keeps away foot infections like athletes’ foot, corn, cellulose accumulation, calluses, toe nail fungus etc.

To do pedicure properly you have to have some equipments like nail cutter, nail filer, nailbrush, cuticle pusher, orange stick, pumice stone, cuticle cutter and pusher, and nail polish of your favorite color.

You need to remove old nail polish completely. Cotton balls are to be used with nail polish remover to remove the trace the nail polish.

It is wise to use good quality clippers to shape the toenails. You need to cut your nails and leaving 1/8 of length; it is good to extend the toe nail over the toe-tip.

A flat bowl needs to be filled with warm water; you can add bath salts, Epsom salt, and aromatherapy oils and you should soak your feet in it for 15-20 minutes. Optionally you can add milk in the foot soak because lactic acid makes the foot skin soft and supple.

With cuticle remover, the base of each nail needs to be rubbed gently; you need to wait for a few minutes before using an orange stick it pushes cuticles back in the proper place. Cuticle nippers need to be used for trimming loose skin.

A foot scrub needs to be used in order to remove the dead cell layers from the balls and heels of your feet. However, too hard rubbing is not solicited; it may hurt the skin tone.

Application of nourishing oil would be better option as it will replenish the softness of skin tone preferably at night before bed time.

You should use a good –quality nail oil remover from your nails before application of nail polish coat on it.
