Easy Cure Remedies for Swimmer’s Ear

Swimmer’s ear is not only limited to swimmers only, it may affect any person. In this infection, water or moisture enters in ear canal and external ear resulting in infection and ear pain.
Along with pain some other symptoms are prevalently observed against the infection of swimmer’s ear; for example, decreased hearing, discharge of white earwax, milky or yellow colored ear discharge, pain and sensitivity, a buzzing sound in ear, swollen ear, and feeling of stuffiness and heaviness in ear are some of the common symptoms of swimmer’s ear infection.
It is wise to contact doctor for any of these problems persisting for more than 48 hours. In between, a few easy home remedies can be tried to treat the problem but it is necessary not to dig in the ear or not to pour anything hot within ear without prior permission from doctor because it can lead to serious consequences.
If there is buzzing sound in the ear or the patients feels mild pain in ear, pouring one drop of vinegar in the affected ear in every 2-hour interval may cause remarkable relief from pain and irritation.
Gentle rubbing with some alcohol inside the infected ear may cause natural drying up the ear-inside water and it destroys the mild infection of bacteria. It is reliable home remedy to cure the problem of swimmer’s ear infection as well as water in ear discomfort in its initial mild condition.
Application of dry blow with hair drier for 30 seconds helps in general evaporation of water inside the ear and reduces pain and swelling in several instances.
Those who suffer from chronic ear pain can try taking garlic capsules for 3-4 months at a stretch; one can consume 2-3 cloves of garlic in every morning. The anti-bacterial and pain killing qualities of garlic will prevent the recurrence of ear infection and ear pain.
An herbal ear drop can be made by using one drop of calendula, chamomile, and clove oil each should be mixed with almond oil and then should be poured in paining ear for 4-5 drops. It will cure the pain and irritation due to swimmer ear infection.
Application of hot compress externally also helps in improving the situation.
