February 1, 2010
In general at the average age of 50-51 women face their natural menopause. However, due to some factors like physical illness, family history, medical procedures, or some other reasons, a group of women may attain the menopause before their age of 40. When a lady attends her menopause before the schedule age, naturally or by being induced, is termed as early menopause. The women attending their early menopause have to accommodate themselves with some additional emotional and physical crisis other than normal menopause symptoms like mood swings, night sweat, hot flush etc. However, as menopause denotes the termination point of the fertile years of a lady, those who wish to have late year pregnancy may get disappointed due to their early menopause.
Although symptoms of early menopause may differ from one woman to another, in an average, the common symptoms for early menopause are almost same as natural menopause. These are irregular menstrual period, unusual bleeding, like heavy or scanty bleeding, and on and on recurrence of hot flush.
All these symptoms signify the reducing capacity of ovaries in producing adequate estrogen hormone.
The women attending the early menopause problem may face some additional symptoms like vaginal dryness, irritability in bladder, and urinary incontinence, sleeplessness, sudden change of emotional outburst, dry skin problem, dry moth issue, and sudden reduce of sex drive. Some women may develop the problem of dry eye syndrome as additional symptom of early menopause.
Women who have gone through radiation therapy, chemotherapy session, are suffering from hypothyroidism, lupus, or Grave’s disease etc. and suffering from one or two common symptoms of early menopause at their age of 40 or below that age-bracket are recommended to consult doctor to judge whether they are at their early menopause phase.
At the onset of early menopause, a lady may suffer from inadequacy of estrogen, which may lead toward induction of health disorders like osteoporosis, ovarian cancer, colon cancer, periodontal disease, and eye issue like cataract formation.
The women who attend their early menopause suffer more from inadequate estrogen back ups, which makes them more susceptible for developing menopause related health problems.
