Formula diet is the liquid diet where by some planned liquid the main meal is replaced. Apparently, the liquid seems to be proportionate but in the long term proves to be inadequate for the nutritional point of perception. Another disadvantage of formula diet is after leaving the diet regimen there is high chance to regain the lost weight. As this diet narrows down the food selection, the healthy habit to eat in a restricted manner is not practiced by this kind of formula diet.

As pre-packaged food cannot be long term solution for food plan, while using this type of food you need to learn to prepare this range of food to maintain the diet habit to minimize the chance of gaining weight again.

Fixed menu diet is strict menu diet and never allows the dieter to select other foods except the prescribed one. This is easy to follow diet system but it is hard to maintain the schedule for a long time because there is strong possibility to be bored with the monotonous menu. For initial start up this kind of diet plan is good, once the dieter will be accustomed with strict rules of diet, he/she can change the diet plan to a flexible plan.

Flexible kind of diet is the combination of all types of food and depending on the calorie value the intake is liberal or moderate in quantity. This kind of diet plan provides freedom for almost all kind of food but it is the consciousness of the dieter selecting the foods of his/her choice in restricted quantity.
