Diet for Growing Kids

It is natural that kids will be fond of tasty and junk type of food because of its rich taste, but readymade foods should not be the ideal diet for growing kids. For an overall growth of a kid calorie, nutrition, as well as adequate supply of protein is necessary; in absence of these basic ingredients a kid cannot be grown up in the true sense of growth. This is the reason from primary stage eating habit and preference of food need to be imposed as a kind of discipline to avoid lack of nutrition and obesity in the later age.
However, a kid imitates his parents. So, while you are asking the kid to eat green vegetables and fruits you also need to maintain the same food regimen, the kid aside you will learn to consume healthy food by its own default.
Although most of the kids like to have munching in between major mills but this kind of habit initiates eating disorder, hence, this frequent munching needs to be restricted from the very beginning.
Protein is essential for kids’ diet; however, excess intake of protein damages the growth of kidneys. Nuts, seeds, fish, sprouts, milk, egg, tofu, paneer, chicken, turkey are enriched in protein but all these needs to be consumed in balanced amount.
The main part of kids’ diet should be carbohydrate type of foods although most of the kids consume the major portion of carbohydrate from synthetic juice, candies, processed breakfast and junk snacks. These type of instant foods are not only harmful these products contain b-grade carbohydrate that is not good for growing kids. These foods contain white sugar which is not supportive of bone health rather perishes part of calcium in the bones.
Vitamin C and folic acid help to increase natural immunity; that is why fruit with antioxidant must be included in the diet of growing kids. Instead of common salt rock salt can be used in kids’ food, the trace elements in rock salt help in growing brain cells. Synthetic foods create hormonal imbalance as well as initiates early puberty. Milk of dairy foods need to be consumed for balanced meal but indulging on soft drink or on tea or coffee is to be avoided because these drinks reduce the iron from the health system of a kid.
