The main advantage of a healthy diet is to get supply of proper nutrients in our health system so that we can lead a healthy life. Apparently, we seem to be conscious about nutrition but unknowingly almost all of us commit some mistakes in diet plan that we fail to have adequate nutrition. We often consider our foods as healthiest in their category but actually we often make us deprived. For example, we may feel happy that in breakfast our family is taking five grain bread, but we never verify if whole grain is one of these five grains.
We often take fruit juice but not the fruit itself. Fruits are loaded with natural fibers and vitamins; therefore it is always better to have the whole fruits instead of juice.
We often consider carbohydrates as calorie-prone and fat-prone foods and initiate to eliminate them from our daily diet. But it is wrong. Regular supply of carbohydrate is essential for healthy body and natural weight control. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains are examples of healthy carbohydrates and should always be included in our regular diet plan.
Over eating is great diet mistake because it damages digestive system and induces great discomfort. It is always good to have kid’s dish in restaurant, and in house it is good to take the food in small plate in moderate quantity.
Like over eating, inadequate food intake also causes danger. It is harmful equally to skip breakfast or to omit lunch or dinner due to urge of crash dieting. Having 5-6 small meals in every 3-4 hour gap should be perfect eating plan.
We often substitute vitamins and minerals in diet by taking supplements which may not be that good for heath in its ultimate effect. It is good to have the required vitamins and minerals by natural food sources and all purpose multivitamin pills should be taken on prior permission of the doctor.
We often misunderstood that dieting is sufficient for out health well being and we do not require to require exercise to be healthy. But the truth is reverse. Regular exercise is a supportive tool for healthy living. Therefore, exercise should be includes as regular activity in life.
It is wise to act with brain in point of diet and nutrition; while following a diet plan it is to be verified first if the plan is certified by any professional doctor or by nutrition experts.
