Depression is a type of emotional disorder which affects physical and mental state of the affected person. Depression may last at a stretch for 2-5 days, more than a week, or for more than a month.

In some instances chronic ailment or physical impairment also induces bout of depression in the patients. However, the common causes for depression are disappointment in getting desired result, sudden refusal, lack of motivation, lack of orientation, loss of assets, dissatisfied and incomplete relationship, professional, personal jealousy, insecurity, superiority complex, isolation, psychosis etc.
It is safe and wise to consult a psychologist if the problem of depression persists for more than one week time. In between some natural remedies can be tried in order to revive the normalcy of mood.
