A good sense of oral hygiene, good dietary sense, and periodical check up help maintaining healthy teeth. However, some minor precautions need to be imposed in everyday life to ensure the norms of dental/oral hygiene.
Brushing is our common habit but we should know the proper manner of tooth brushing .Also it is essential to know the best option of toothbrush to get the optimum help out of this habit. Tooth brushing, for the sake of healthy teeth, should be managed at least two times at morning or in the night before going to sleep with the right process.
Periodical visit to dentist’s chamber helps curing many problems like removal of plaque and tarter, problem of gums, and requirement of dental floss. Regular dental check up can arrest any kind of dental problem in its initial stage and can revive the problem with timely proper care or at least can ensure proper prevention.
It is always harmful to eat or drink too hot or too cold foods or drinks because the compulsory adjustment of teeth and gum with extreme point of temperature causes irritation and deterioration of the same. While you are eating/drinking something, it is wise to consume it in moderate temperature.
Carbonated cold drinks are to be avoided in every respect. It is not only harmful for teeth; it is equally harmful for digestive system and point of calories consumption. If you are thirsty, go for glassful normal mineral water. It will help you to be healthy and keen on calorie consumption. Equally the enamel protection of your teeth will happy.
Equally, like drinks, smoking is injurious to health of teeth and gum as well. So, quitting the habit of smoking adds new life to the teeth.
Use of toothpick for dental cleaning is forbidden habit for the norms of good dental care because the toothpicks dig into the gum and causes injury to the gum.
For good dental care you need to indulge consumption of fiber rich fruits like apple, guava [green], and carrot. The extract of these frits will clear the biting surface of the teeth.
Chewing sugar free gum occasionally is good for teeth and its health. It increases the secretion of saliva and reduces the pH of the saliva and at the same time cleans the teeth from residual left over foods deposited in the gum gap.
