Cold attack is caused by different viruses. However, cold attack is not related to be in cold weather. There are different medicines available for the treatment of cold but in most of the cases cold attack can be managed at home by using different home remedies.

One of the main symptoms for cold attack is feverish feeling; the problem of mild fever is mostly seen with small children but it is a rare symptom with adults. However, in case a patient gets fever due to cold attack and the temperature rises above 101degree Celsius, it is recommended to contact doctor at the earliest for further advice.

Suffering from the discomfort of dry or congested cough is one of the most bothering symptoms for cold attack. However, instead of having over –the-counter medicines against cough problem it is better to take advice from doctor and carry on the treatment. Herbal remedies like having basil extract and honey helps managing the discomfort of cough.

Headaches are common symptom for cold attack.  Congestion initiates pressure on sinus thus results in headache. However, those who have chronic sinusitis feel the symptom of headache problem more.

Apart from these symptoms, muscle pain, loss of appetite, nausea, and irritation are other associates symptoms for cold attack commonly observed.
