Before shampoo hair should be washed with a mild shampoo but no conditioner should be used on hair. The protective layer of conditioner does not allow the color to set on the hair and the dye bonding of hair color remains incomplete.

If someone has soft and sensitive scalp, or someone wishes to apply hair color on dry and damaged hair, it is always recommended to use the hair color after 24 hours of shampoo wash.

While coloring, the tips and instruction mentioned on the instruction leaf should be minutely followed. It is always good to follow the instructions exactly mentioned by the manufacturer. It is recommended to use the pre-color protective serum on hair, then with a clean hair brush the hair color should be applied on hair. For protection of nails and hands from smearing color, gloves and towel should be used.

It is absolutely unnecessary to retain hair color on hair more than recommended time. After pre-fixed time is over hair color should be washed thoroughly followed by proper application of color guard conditioner.

For better color effect rinsing hair with lemon juice treated water is good and safe natural remedy. It is good to use color guard shampoo for washing of color treated hair.
